One great Battlestar game actually started out as something else - something called Missle Attack. The story goes something like this....NBC would not air the TV commercials for the game. NBC was worried about the impact the game would have on children- as it was up to the kid to defend New York from a missle attack! Those red blips sure scared me! So like many other Battlestar items, a simple face lift was given to the game to make it "BATTLESTAR GALACTICA: SPACE ALERT". Later boxes just say "SPACE ALERT". I have also seen images of a BUCK RODGERS game using the same guts...(Same game, new stickers).
I currently own one of these games, but its messed up. Hopefully a working one will appear in my hands.(Hi-Score so far - 77)
Ughh.. A not so fun board game from Parker Bros. There are still many unopened, sealed boxes of this less than stellar game floating around the I-net. If you must get one, hold out for a sealed one - or sorta sealed. It's nice to collect, just don't try to play it!

Battlestar Galactica 2: Network Survivor
A second attempt at a board game was released to mixed reviews. They only changed the box cover, rules, and printed up new cards. Other than those changes this game contains the same basic board and viper cut outs as the original game.
The object of the game is to make it to the end of the season without getting canceled or have Battlestar 1980 replace you next season. You must dodge lawsuits from G.Lucas and face recalls of of Mattel toys all in a race to get renewed.
If you lose the game and do get canceled, you can not play the game again for 20 years.
Ok, That one was fake. There is no Battlestar Galactica 2... I couldn't help myself.

BattleStar Junk- YES JUNK!

Wow..Look at all that junk. Basically take some junk toy, put the name BATTLESTAR on it....and boom! Instant Battlestar Toy. There were more than this, believe me, but this gives you an idea of what happened back then.
Battlestar colorforms. You take these cut outs and stick them onto an empty background. Fun? Not sure about that...but it is Battlestar...so we have to at least smile!
